Commutable from: Solihull, Rugby, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Redditch and Birmingham
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 p.a.
The Role
As PCB Layout Engineer you will:
- Take full responsibility for PCB layout by supporting the planning of circuit design and manufacturing activities.
- Perform PCB layout design schematic design and review, part library creation, component placement, routing and manufacturing data.
- Create, modify and maintain part libraries based on component data sheets and drawings.
- Create manufacturing data packs including Gerber, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and other design files for PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Provide the set up and maintenance of review protocols and design rule checks (DRC).
- Liaise across departments to ensure PCB compatibility with enclosures and fixings.
- Responsibility for the management of supplies and responsible for issuing quotations.
The Candidate
As PCB Layout Engineer you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in electronics hardware design and product development.
- Experience of using Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Experience with analogue, digital and power PCB design.
- Familiarity with IPC standards with design and inspection and EMI / EMC requirements for best design practices.
- Experience of order processing and BOM creation specific to PCBs.
