Job Description:

  • Performs safe and timely transport of patients interdepartmentally and upon discharge.

  • Conducts rounds for the delivery and pickup of supplies, records, specimens, x-rays, orders, and equipment.

  • Promptly responds to stat calls and meets requests of clinical staff.

  • Assists in handling calls regarding violent patients and supports in take down procedures.

  • Remains accessible at all times and offers help to alleviate heavy transitional workloads.

  • Informs patients of relevant procedures.

  • Performs stocking duties and reports any mechanical malfunctions to staff.

  • Transports patient valuables/belongings and accompanies the patient.

  • Maintains department stretchers and wheelchairs in patient-ready condition and safely manages oxygen tanks.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]


Work Experience:

  • Previous experience as nurse assistant [Preferred]


Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$19.00 - $28.50
