JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Child Care Center at Hort Woods is seeking individuals to support classroom teachers at the on-campus child care center for FALL SEMESTER 2026.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising children alongside full-time staff members (candidates may be assigned to infant/toddler or preschool classrooms)
  • Guiding classroom activities and supporting curriculum
  • Interacting with children one-on-one and in small groups
  • Assist children with daily routines, such as during meals and naptime.
  • Help educators keep environment organized and safe for children in the classroom
  • Candidate must be flexible, able to follow guidance of classroom teachers and communicate effectively. 

 

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, and the National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR). Additional clearances may be necessary if you resided outside of Pennsylvania in the past five years.
