Day in the Life of a Nurse Practitioner

  • Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in our outpatient clinic settings

  • Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments as indicated by patient assessment

  • Complete medical documentation per Crossroads standards

  • Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic care to patients, including referrals to other medical providers and community services

  • Will perform injections.

Schedule & Locations

  • Primary center: Tyler

  • Target weekly hours: 20-25

  • Proposed scheduled: Monday-Friday 5am-10am and one of the days stay until 11am to do treatment team meeting

  • Open to discussing full-time opportunities if more desirable (minimum 30 hours).

Education and Licensure Requirements

  • Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas

  • Texas DEA licensure

  • Experience in an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), substance use disorder (SUD) treatment setting, addiction medicine practice or similar clinical environment.

  • Additional education or certification may be required.
