Job description

The School of Social Sciences, Sociology Programme is looking for Part-time Lecturers (PTL) who will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses.

We invite applications for part-time lecturers to teach courses in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • State and society

  • Sociological methods

  • Social policy

  • Ethnicity, culture, and migration

  • Southeast Asia and Singapore

  • Global social change

Key Responsibilities:

  • Propose a new course or teach an existing course.

  • Conduct lectures or seminars.

  • Conduct tutorials and assessments for a course.

  • Conduct grading of course assessments/exam scripts.

  • Other responsibilities related to undergraduate teaching.

Qualification:

1. At least a PhD Degree in social sciences

2. At least 1-2 years teaching experience at a tertiary level with excellent teaching evaluation.

Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents are preferred.
