Responsibilities:
- Teach one lab section that meets once per week for 3 hours and 50 minutes throughout the semester.
- Each week includes preparing course material, holding office hours, and grading all assignments submitted by the students.
- The lecturer must be available to attend instructor orientations before the start of the semester.
- This course meets Tuesday 1-4:50 PM.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing.
- Strong commitment to student learning, quality teaching, and academic excellence.
- Demonstrated appreciation for students' active role in learning and a commitment to personalized education within the Chapman Laboratory Experience.
Desired qualifications:
- A completed or in-progress graduate degree (Ph.D or Master’s) in a STEM discipline.
- University or community college teaching experience, specifically with introductory STEM courses, such as introductory environmental science, general biology and/or ecology and evolution.
