The purpose of this position is to perform groundskeeping and custodial duties to help maintain cleanliness and a safe environment for the customers. This includes all rental facilities including cabins, group camps, meeting rooms, bathhouses, etc. for indoor and outdoor cleaning, and as needed, assist with outdoor grounds maintenance such as trail cleanup or mowing.&nbsp;</span></undefined><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</span><br style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1); font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">No experience or training required.</span><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0">The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found&nbsp;</span><a href="https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=176505" target="_blank" style="color: inherit; text-decoration: underline; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><u>here</u>.</a><p style="margin: 15px 0; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><strong style="font-weight: 700"><u>Job Duties:</u></strong></p><ul style="padding-left: 2rem; margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 3pt; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><li>Ensure cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the buildings on site such as cabins, group camps, lodges, bathhouses, meeting rooms, etc. Duties would include but not limited to, disinfecting, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, mopping, sweeping, dusting, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform any and all custodial duties necessary to maintain clean and sanitary conditions.&nbsp;</li><li>Removes trash and prepares dirty laundry for pickup.&nbsp;</li><li>Stock buildings with cleaning and household supplies such as soap, toilet paper, sanitary supplies, paper towels, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies&nbsp;</li><li>Cleans &amp; picks up litter/trash from bathhouses, campground areas, and day use areas.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists with minor building maintenance such as air filters, light bulbs, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with grounds maintenance such as mowing, blowing, trail maintenance, etc. as needed.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists customers with questions and concerns.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide park and local community information to customers.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p style="margin: 15px 0; color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-indent: 0"><strong style="font-weight: 700"><u>Position-Specific Details</u>:</strong><br><strong style="font-weight: 700">Location: </strong>Lake Claiborne State Park in Mandeville, LA<strong style="font-weight: 700">&nbsp;</strong><br><strong style="font-weight: 700">Appointment Type:&nbsp;</strong>Probational, Promotion, or Detail to Special Duty&nbsp;<br><strong style="font-weight: 700">Career Progression:&nbsp;</strong>This position may be filled as a Park Technician A, B, or C.&nbsp;As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled based on the qualifications of the selected applicant. Position will work a rotating schedule of 40 hours/week, which can include holidays and/or weekends as needed, to ensure coverage at the park. &nbsp;<br><strong style="font-weight: 700">Travel:&nbsp;</strong>Position requires driving around the park as part of the daily shift. Travel may be required to other state parks to assist in staffing or events, as needed.
