Painter

JSM Living is seeking a reliable and hard-working Painter to join our team. We manage a diverse portfolio of residential apartments and commercial real estate, and this role is key to maintaining the appearance and condition of our properties through painting, drywall repair, and general surface prep.

The ideal candidate can work independently, manage their time well, and take pride in maintaining a professional appearance throughout our properties. Strong attendance and dependability are essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution of painting and drywall tasks including installation, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing
• Identify appropriate tools, equipment, and techniques required for various job tasks
• Prepare job sites and materials for painting and drywall activities
• Operate, maintain, and clean both manual and power painting/drywall tools and equipment
• Perform surface repair work related to drywall and painting
• Assist with demolition or other site preparation tasks as needed
• Accurately document time, labor, and materials using electronic systems

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver’s license required
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on painting and operations experience
• A dependable team player with strong attendance and the ability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
• Flexibility for occasional overtime or on-call needs
• Ability to work professionally with coworkers, residents, commercial tenants, and vendors
• Must be able to work on ladders and step stools to reach ceilings, trim, and other elevated surfaces.
• Previous painting and drywall experience required

• Hourly starting rate - $19-$30 per hour; based on experience

The starting hourly range for this position reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of this posting.
