<div style="text-align: center"><strong><img src="https://secure.neogov.com/images/AgencyImages/jobposting/1546/jobpostings/image/20260724084142_PSSC - Pic of gate.jpg" style="width: 200px" class="fr-fic fr-dii"><br><img src="https://secure.neogov.com/images/AgencyImages/jobposting/1546/jobpostings/image/20260724084123_logo.png" style="width: 200px" class="fr-fic fr-dii" alt=""></strong></div><p style="text-align: center">The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. &nbsp;Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs.</p><p style="text-align: center">We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual as a <strong>Painter</strong> to assist in the daily operation of the duties of the Area Maintenance Department on the Pinecrest Supports and Services grounds.</p><div style="line-height: normal"><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: left; text-indent: 0">Two years of experience or training in the painting trade.</span></div>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found <a target="_blank" href="https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=130200"><u>here</u>.</a><u>Job Duties:</u><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Obtain supplies, materials, etc., in order to complete the job. &nbsp;Determine method of application, mix, thin, and match paint. &nbsp;Apply by use of brushes, rollers, and spray guns to the exterior and interior of buildings, furniture, signs, structural steel, and equipment.</li><li>Strip roadways and parking lots. &nbsp;Prepare bleach and water mix for use in washing buildings, signs, park equipment, etc. &nbsp;Sand and scrape surfaces where paint has peeled, or rust is evident.</li><li>Apply primer to surfaces as needed. &nbsp;Mix plaster and water and apply to walls. &nbsp;Tape and float sheetrock in preparation for painting. &nbsp;Use a sandblaster to remove paint from metal objects. &nbsp; Glaze and putty wood surfaces on window sashes, etc.</li><li>Erect and position scaffolding with pull ropes. &nbsp;Anchor and reposition as job requires.</li><li>Requisition and keep records of supplies. &nbsp;Log miles traveled and gasoline used for vehicle assigned.</li><li>Clean work areas and equipment. &nbsp;Return tools and equipment to proper storage area. &nbsp;Clean walls and prepare paper with water or wallpaper glue. &nbsp; Measure, cut, apply, and trim wallpaper and border. &nbsp;Ensure pattern match. &nbsp;Perform various related work as assigned or required by supervisor.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Administrator to support the Agency and/or the people we serve.</li></ul><br><u>Position-Specific Details:</u><p><strong>Location:&nbsp;</strong>PINECREST SUPPORTS &amp; SERVICES CENTER.<strong><br>&nbsp;Department: &nbsp;</strong>Carpenter / Paint Shop<br><strong>Work Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday - Friday PASS DAYS:<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Saturday / Sunday<br><strong>Appointment Type:&nbsp;</strong>This position may be filled by probation, promotion, demotion, lateral transfer, detail to special duty, or job appointment.
