Packaging Engineer

Job Description:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Packaging Engineer is responsible leading and managing the implementation of a returnable container system for purchased and manufactured components. This role will also lead a team of Continuous Improvement Technicians who build, maintain, and repair the different delivery containers within BraunAbility.

Responsibilities:

· Lead and supervise a team of technicians to support production and material handling needs to move and present parts.

· Design complex delivery methods to deliver and present parts to a variety of production areas.

· Maintain inventory of building supplies for carts and racks.

· Lead improvement projects around material handling delivery methods.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Ability to lead projects from start to finish

· Ability to work on own with little direction

· Must be able to work in a fast paced and continually changing environment

· Autocad (Flow Manager or similar)

· Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D Cad system

· Experience with ERP systems (Epicor)

· Microsoft Office Suites

· Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of management and employees

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Engineering or related engineering field with experience

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Engineering role or manufacturing plant.
