Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain packaging designs for PDC product assemblies and parts
  • Collaborate with product teams to define packaging design requirements
  • Identify and pursue cost‑saving initiatives (design, materials, processes, sourcing) under engineering control
  • Engage with suppliers including designing packaging, setting up packaging and labeling processes, obtaining quotes and creating scorecards
  • Create and/or review packaging designs in CAD environment
  • Perform root-cause analysis on simple packaging failures and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate with the packaging test lab to get the packaging designs/ configurations tested
  • Lead packaging SharePoint projects to meet schedules and deliverables
  • Communicate the packaging project status, needs and issues to the cross-functional stakeholders
  • Release specifications via Engineering Change Order (ECO) process
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned, based on departmental and BU specific goals
