Job Description:

  • Up to $10,000.00 Sign On Bonus
  • Up to $3,000.00 Relocation Bonus
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week Flexible options for schedule Monday- Friday Possibility of a half day Saturday
  • Location:  Sports Medicine and Rehab 3310 WATERMAN WAY, Tavares, 32778 With some travel to other clinics as needed
  • Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
  • Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
  • Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
  • Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
  • Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers and programs as approved and observed by the manager or director.
  • Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.
  • Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
  • Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community. . Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Doctorate [Preferred]


Field of Study:

  • in Physical Therapy


Work Experience:

  • Treating primarily the orthopedic population (Preferred)


Additional Information:

  • Education requirements for this position are determined by the licensing or certification standards set forth by the relevant certifying body. Applicants must possess the level of education mandated for eligibility to obtain and maintain the required license or certification.



Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
  • Physical Therapist (PT) [Required] OR
  • Physical Therapist - Temporary (PT-TEMP) [Required]

Pay Range:

$65,622.66 - $122,055.21
