Job description
We're hiring for an OT Security Analyst to work out of our Corporate Office in Houston while working a Hybrid work schedule. Noble is a leading offshore drilling contractor. The OT Security Analyst implements security systems in on-premises and cloud OT networks. Key duties include assessing current measures, network configurations, suggesting improvements, identifying weaknesses, advising on projects, and promptly addressing security incidents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Gain a solid understanding of the organization's technology and OT systems.
  • Ensure OT operations meet Noble, customer, and regulatory standards.
  • Review and approve LAN, WAN, VPN, router, firewall, and network device installation requirements.
  • Test, update, and upgrade security systems as needed.
  • Take part in disaster recovery and security breach drills.
  • Respond swiftly to security incidents and provide analysis afterward.
  • Guide the security team, promote awareness, and arrange ongoing training.
  • Keep up with latest security systems, standards, protocols, and products.
  • Advise on new initiatives, ensuring early identification and implementation of security controls and design principles.
  • Assess system changes and document security risks and impacts.
  • Find opportunities to standardize and simplify security tools, using native cloud features when possible.
  • Monitor industry trends, threats, vulnerabilities, and new technologies.
  • Make independent decisions and represent leadership as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Information Systems, information Security or other Information Technology-related field.
  • Additional certifications (CISSP or similar certifications)
  • 4 years of related experience in technical security and implementation function, including hands-on experience in: GDPR, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, NIST CSF, IEC- 62443
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing at least 9 of the following security defenses: Intrusion detection and prevention systems, Endpoint monitoring, Data loss prevention, Firewalls, Security Information and Event Management, Network tabs, traffic aggregators and filters
  • Familiar with policies, standards, procedures and other forms of documentation
  • Familiar with cloud architecture, security controls, secure configuration, and deployment
  • A sound understanding of emerging threats and industry trends
  • Willingness to travel 15–20% as required.
