Job description

Partnering with parents and school communities, at Junior Adventures Group (JAG) our goal is to help today’s children navigate their tomorrow by supporting children's development through play in fun, engaging environments. We live and breathe our company values every day by being considerate, passionate, courageous, and making a difference.

As part of our Armadale area relief team, you’ll support a variety of OSHC services where you’re needed most. This is a great opportunity to meet different teams, build your experience in the sector, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children every day.

Available shifts:

This role will predominantly support after school care and school holiday programs, with shifts available Monday to Friday. After school care shifts generally run from 2:00pm–6:00pm, with additional hours available during school holiday periods. Before school care shifts may also be available depending on service needs.

We’re looking for an educator who holds, or is working towards, a relevant ACECQA-approved qualification and has full Monday to Friday availability.

Why this role is perfect for students & casual educators:

  • Flexible work that fits around university timetables and placements
  • Gain hands-on experience working with primary school-aged children
  • Build confidence, leadership, communication, and behaviour management skills
  • Great pathway into teaching, education support, psychology, social work, and childcare careers
  • Casual loading, split shift allowances, and referral bonuses
  • Extra holiday program hours during term breaks
  • Career progression opportunities from Educator to Coordinator and beyond
  • Full training and ongoing support provided — no OSHC experience required
  • We're approved for the Early Childhood Education and Care Grant
  • A genuine passion for working with children.
  • A team player with aspirations to grow and learn in the role
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!)
  • State working-with-children check.
  • Australian working rights.
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
  • WA First Qualified Educator - Have completed a relevant qualification to work as a First Qualified Educator in WA in accordance with ACECQA
  • WA Qualified Educator - Working towards or have completed a relevant qualification to work as a Qualified Educator in WA in accordance with ACECQA

At Junior Adventures Group, child safety and child safeguarding principles are our top priorities. Our recruitment process includes thorough background checks and screenings to ensure the wellbeing of all children in our care.

We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, abilities, and identities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
