This is Direct Hire with our Client

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The chemist will be responsible for supporting the development and understanding of organometallic catalyzed cross-coupling reactions.

• The job will consist of a combination of medium to high-throughput screening of catalysts and conditions, as well as in depth mechanistic studies involving NMR, IR, and other relevant tools.

• The person in this role will be expected to communicate results frequently, both orally and in the form of written updates and reports 


• CRITICAL SKILLS: "Excellent lab skills: Working with organometallic and organic compounds, including handling of air/moisture-sensitive material using a glovebox or Schlenk techniques.

• Excellent analytical skills (HPLC or UPLC, NMR experience, including heteronuclear NMR, critical; IR/UV-Vis/Mass spectrometry experience a plus).

• Ability to work with others and good oral and written communication skills --- Experience working with automation platforms is a plus.

• Experience in the synthesis and characterization of organometallic complexes, mechanistic experience in organometallic or organic chemistry, and familiarity with science search engines (e.g. Scifinder or Reaxys) are pluses. M.S. or Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry is a plus"
