Oracle Data Base Administrator

Oracle DBA needed to help us build the next-generation of customer engagement systems for federal service agencies.

Minimum skills and qualifications:

•  4 years or more of managing Oracle databases in a Microsoft Windows cluster environment
•  4 years or more of writing Oracle queries
• 4 years or more of IT Delivery and/or Operations experience
• Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years experience in lieu of degree
• Able to work flexible schedule/weekends if needed

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Certified Oracle DBA
• Certified SQL Server DBA
• Knowledgeable with Oracle database as well as SQLServer
• Knowledgeable in networking
• Basic understanding of Windows Active Directory

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation, configuration, operations and maintenance of the Oracle databases in a Microsoft Windows cluster environment
• Responsible for troubleshooting database issues
• Responsible for database performance tuning
• Responsible for database backup and recovery
• Responsible for applying regular database patch and database upgrade
