We are currently seeking a full-time ophthalmic technician to join our team in our southern locations in Broward County. The ideal candidate:
- Should possess excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills with compassion to patients.
- Should exhibit a professional demeanor and work well with others.
- Should exhibit flexibility and reliability. This position is full time and requires local area travel.
- Should possess the ability to learn new information and task, solve problems and multi-task.
- 1 year recent ophthalmic technician experience preferred.
- COA or COT certification is preferred but not required.
- Applicants with experience should be proficient in patient triage and work-up; including tonometry and assisting physicians with minor office procedures.
- Increased consideration given to applicants WITH experience in the areas of OCT, scribing and/or electronic medical records.
