The Operations team (within the Performance Transformation practice) assists our clients to shape the future of their operations so that they can achieve their strategic goals and deliver sustainable and industry-leading business performance. Our approach to Operations is focused on sustainable impact, not only reducing costs, but setting up solid foundations for comprehensive transformation, best-in-class digital tools & processes, environmental transition and maximized attractivity of talents. Our Core work is divided into 4 pillars:  

Value Sourcing/Procurement: Address the complete external spend to generate high bottom-line impact while sustainably transform the operating model.  

Supply Chain: Develop innovative and impactful solutions to increase the performance and results of our clients’ supply chain processes and networks. The focus is on innovative, digital solutions like Digital supply chain, Blockchain, agile network design, digital S&OP processes, end-to-end supply chain transparency, intelligent distribution logistics, advanced Supply Chain forecasting and Industry 4.0.  

Manufacturing and Process Operations: Help our clients meet the challenges of their environment and turn their operations into a decisive competitive advantage.  

Digital Operations: Apply various advanced analytics methods and machine learning models to drive our clients’ operation to the next level of performance.

SENIOR CONSULTANTS play a key role in delivering client engagements, taking ownership of major workstreams from problem structuring through analysis, synthesis, and recommendation development. You will work independently to solve complex problems, manage priorities, and ensure your work is rigorous, relevant, and actionable. You will collaborate closely with clients and senior team members, while also supporting and coaching junior colleagues. Senior Consultants are expected to combine strong analytical skills with sound judgment, team leadership, and an increasingly confident client presence. 

ASSOCIATES break down complex problems into discrete tasks, identifying the key aspects of a problem and directing the focus of junior consultants to those elements. You will effectively plan and execute analysis as well as identify the core issues in complex analyses in order to be able to craft suitable recommendations. You’ll work side by side with clients and your project team members to move projects forward and manage small teams to get the work done. Clients and colleagues look to Associates for unique insight into the subject area which they have chosen.  

WHAT YOU WILL BRING 

Just as every client project is different, so we recognize and value the diversity of backgrounds and skillsets for successful candidates. We are seeking high-caliber individuals who want to join our winning team. Preference will be given to candidates with: 

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization) or with industry experience from a strategy department or inhouse consulting with a focus on operations 
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills and ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses to identify trends, draw conclusions and present recommendations 
  • Outstanding written and verbal comMunication skills in both formal and informal settings 
  • Fluency in English and German language is required 
  • An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program 
  • Willingness to travel 
  • Know how to take the initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and put the ones you’ve already got to good use 
  • Not just intelligence, but creativity too: you’ll be ready to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients’ biggest problems 
  • Have an aptitude for analytical work, like sniffing out clues in massive data sets or hunting down the key issues in a hugely complex challenge 
  • A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team
