The Therapeutic Modalities (TMo) organization is accountable for translating disease biology into high-quality drug candidates across small molecules, large molecules, oligonucleotides, and genomic medicines. By integrating deep modality expertise with cross-disciplinary collaboration, TMo drives innovation within and across platforms to enable differentiated, sustainable therapeutic impact.

TMo Business Excellence is a central support function, focused on enabling TMo’s scientific potential. We translate business needs into administrative, operational and lab services with the goal to maximize TMo productivity.

The Opportunity

The Operations Partner plays a vital role in ensuring TMo departments operate efficiently. Key responsibilities include providing administrative support, driving process and operational effectiveness and becoming an active enabler of our TMo community and culture. Furthermore:
 

  • Serve as first point of contact and act as specialist on core administrative and organisational topics, such as planning, scheduling and coordinating travel and on- / offsite meetings and events.

  • Ensure all general administrational activities comply with legal / compliance regulations and internal best practices

  • Support recruitment: organise interviews, plan on- and off-boarding of new employees & external partners

  • Streamline administrative and operational processes and workflows: make processes transparent and efficient, ensure the relevant and up to date information is available to the team at the right level of detail and the right time.

  • Drive advancing our digital readiness by enabling AI tool adoption, and upskilling to drive smarter, tech-enabled administration and operations.

  • Act as a sensor and mood barometer, supporting departmental leadership to create better understanding of employees needs while promoting cooperation and strategic topics, for example related to organizational culture. Actively contribute to relevant leadership forums / teams.

  • Have a significant positive impact on the operational effectiveness of the department

Who you are

You are a talented and passionate person, inspired by our shared purpose of being key partners in delivering the portfolio for the benefit of patients. Furthermore, You are/ You have:
 

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an administrative or operational role

  • Fluency with administrative / operational processes and technical programs, e.g. Google C Suite / Microsoft, SAP, Concur and other tools

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal (English and German), including the development of high standard written communications and slides

  • Excellent organizational skills, proactive working style with the ability to structure and drive implementation and rigorous attention to detail

  • Strong adopter and enabler of “Everyday AI Tools” combined with a strong growth mindset in this area

  • Demonstrated affinity to process and data management
