Operations Manager - Auckland Commercial Collections

Due to an internal promotion, we're looking for a dynamic, hands-on Operations Manager to join our Auckland Commercial Collections team based in East Tamaki, Auckland.  

 This role demands a strong focus on outcomes, with accountability for delivering across the triple bottom line. • Manage operational service delivery through the application of efficient management practices including the appropriate use of labour and equipment resources
• Lead, develop and support team to meet business objectives and undertake effective customer relationships, as required.
• Ensure operational and administrative processes are conducted in compliance with business practice (eg conducting equipment checks; completion of payroll records; undertaking day to day safety activities.)
• Ensure site equipment is maintained and operated appropriately so as to perform the work required by customers, and advise Manager of equipment needs to provide effective service delivery.
• Investigate report and manage vehicle incidents/accidents, property damage and personal injury within the workplace.

As an ideal candidate you will have:

• Experience within the waste, transport or logistic industry is essential.
• 3+ years of experience in managing operational departments, with a focus on safety and performance.
• Results driven, detail oriented with a strong customer service focus.
• Excellent time management with strong negotiation skills.
• Valid Full New Zealand driver’s licence.
