Job description

Planning and Strategy

• Establish and implement Operations’ strategy and roadmap to support in setting department strategy.

• Establish Operations department’s plans and provide input to goals that support its overall strategic plans Collaborate with unit managers to identify Operations’ required projects to meet future business demands

Field Operations Management

• Oversee the management and the execution of all projects and the installation of equipment to ensure maintaining level of service and standards

• Analyze and utilization reports and equipment specifications to ensure the efficiency of products

• Review and maintain operations’ cost allocation to ensure its alignment with the agreed and approved Operations’ budget Direct and coordinate all fields’ activities and resources to ensure that delivers on its contractual agreements in order to deliver on customers’ expectations

Budget

• Manage Operations’ budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process

• Manage Operations effectively within budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered

• Formulate plans that result in a positive financial impact for mitigates financial and operational risks

Policies, Processes and Procedures
• Oversee the implementation of Operations’ policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results

• Lead the management of change through continuous improvement of Operations’ systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures

Safety, Health and Environment

• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across department in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and responsible environmental behaviors

• Ensure identified and escalated risks are effectively addressed in order to foster a safety, health and environment culture, mitigate risks and protect interests

• Monitor changes to legislation and activities, and ensure such changes are covered within all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls

People Management

• Help instill a culture of development, guidance and performance within Production

• Guide, mentor and develop the Manufacturing team to take larger and more complex responsibilities

• Identify and recruit key talent for Manufacturing

• Provide clear top-down communication to employees and bottom-up feedback to the Management

• Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate/appraise Managers and provide regular feedback on performance

• Promote a high-performance working environment and promote values

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with at least 4 years of experience in a managerial position

• Previous Oil and Gas upstream processes’ experience is required

• Previous technical Oil and Gas industry knowledge is required

• Previous Business Development experience is preferred

• Previous Customer Relationship Management experience is preferred

Education and Certifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent is required, Masters degree would be preferable
