Job description

The Role in a Nutshell

Clear Junction is a global payments company licensed and regulated by the FCA in the UK. It offers regulated end-to-end payment solutions based on proprietary in-house technology. The company's infrastructure is designed to meet the growing needs of global financial companies.

Founded in 2016, Clear Junction has seen double-digit growth year over year, with over 130 fintech professionals now based across the UK and mainland Europe. As the fastest-growing, founder-led, privately owned business in the UK, Clear Junction is ranked number one in the FEBE Growth 100 list. We have also recently been named one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in The Sunday Times 100 List.

We are looking for a structural thinker—someone who thrives in the space between a complex regulatory requirement and a functional operational process. As an Operations Business Analyst, you are the lead architect of our operational infrastructure. You will be responsible for taking ambiguity (whether it’s a new law, a technical gap, or a "wishlist on a tissue") and translating it into clear, structured, and compliant workflows.

Requirements

Core Strengths

  • Dissect business, technical, and regulatory texts to find the underlying logic.
  • Transform vague problems into clear, actionable, and structured requirements.
  • Visualize the "big picture" to understand how policy changes ripple through systems and client experiences.
  • Identify operational gaps or compliance risks before they escalate into issues.
  • Propose strategic solutions that align with both business growth and regulatory constraints.
  • Act as a functional bridge between Business, Operations, and Technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Map and analyze existing workflows to identify automation opportunities and standardization needs.
  • Serve as the primary bridge for our platforms (CRM, Backoffice, Onboarding) by translating operational needs into technical logic for IT.
  • Draft and maintain internal regulations, procedure manuals, and audit-ready policy frameworks.
  • Oversee the operational logic of our platforms to ensure enhancements align with business and legal requirements.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on operational resilience (e.g., DORA, Consumer Duty), providing guidance to cross-functional teams.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven toolkit for eliciting requirements and documenting complex systems with a "purist" BA methodology.
  • Exceptional skills in drafting formal governance policies and manuals with precision and clarity.
  • Ability to pivot from technical CRM integrations to interpreting legal requirements for corporate governance and internal procedures
  • Professional fluency in English is essential.

The following are a plus, but not a barrier:

  • Experience in the Fintech or Payments sector.
  • A Legal or Compliance background.
  • Familiarity with CRM logic (e.g., Hubspot, SuiteCRM).

Benefits

  • Private Healthcare
  • Performance Bonus
  • Growth opportunities
  • Training & Development
  • Work in a friendly team
  • Great opportunity to grow your career in cutting-edge payments fintech
  • Paid parking on the office site
