Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial and management accounts accurately and to strict deadlines, in line with the agreed monthly close schedule.
  • Lead preparation of the Annual Plan, including updates, revisions, and LBEs, for review with the Plant Controller and Site Director.
  • Manage and maintain strong controls across inventory and capital expenditure (CapEx), including security, system access, and database controls.
  • Own and maintain product costing and standard costs, including ongoing review and governance of costing changes.
  • Produce and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Manage and reconcile the annual physical inventory, including planning, execution support, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Evaluate and record cost improvement programmes, ensuring benefits and impacts are tracked and reflected appropriately.
  • Perform variance analysis on monthly results versus Plan/Update, highlighting drivers and supporting corrective actions where required.
  • Provide project financial evaluation and oversight, including continuous review of project status and financial impacts to support decision-making.
  • Support and enhance the Project Management System, including ongoing updates and evaluation.
  • Review and maintain RCEs, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and appropriate governance.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and internal controls, including Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  • Provide finance input into the Plant’s operating rhythm, including participation in weekly site meetings and maintaining an active awareness of safety priorities.
  • Deliver financial and non-financial training as part of the site induction process, as required.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and practical support to colleagues across the Plant on finance-related topics.
  • Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA or ACMA
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in a financial/accounting position

This role is initially a 18 month FTC with opportunities to transition to permanent role.
