Apply to this jobPassion for teaching within a university liberal arts core is essential. Teaching load for this visiting position is variable (3:3, 3:4, or 4:4) depending on applicant’s strengths and highest degree in hand at the start of employment.
A record of exceptional teaching and, at minimum, an M.A. in History or relevant field (i.e. American studies, Public History) by August 2026 are required. Duties will include some service to the university, to the Douglas S. Witcher School of Humanities and Behavioral Science, and the History Department. This includes, but may not be limited to, participation in institutional activities; active engagement in student learning outside of the classroom; and upholding the university's values and advancing its mission in recruiting situations.
