Job Title:  Onboarding and Experience Specialist / HR Operations
Department:  Onboarding
Location: on-site at Riedman Campus

Address: 100 Kings Highway South, Rochester, NY

Hours Per Week: 40
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm

SUMMARY

The Onboarding and Experience Specialist is responsible for:

  • Executing all onboarding related activities for new team members and transfers for the system.

  • Processing in-seat promotions, demotions, lateral moves and additional jobs for team members.

  • Ensuring a positive onboarding experience for team members.

  • Will also serve as a point of continued support for new team members through their first year of hire at Rochester Regional Health.

  • Will help acclimate new team members to the health system and provide an experience where team members feel welcomed and have a sense of belonging.


Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding
• Responsible for building relationship with new team members and existing employees throughout the pre-employment and transfer onboarding process.
• Responsible for mentoring the candidate through the onboarding process, communicating next steps and timelines to ensure validation of qualifications in a timely manner.
• Communicates candidate status to key stakeholders such as: hiring manager, recruiter, learning and development and any additional departments throughout the onboarding process.
• Manages all pre-employment background checks to include those required by company or regulatory authorities.
• Partners with affiliations to schedule pre-employment health appointments for new team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience
• Responsible for supporting new team members through their first year of employment.
• Responsible for creating an environment of engaging and belonging for new team members.
• Responsible for communicating to leader identified issues related to new team members experience.
• Responsible for collecting and documenting new team member feedback and sharing with appropriate parties.

Minimum Qualifications:
•    2 years of relatable experience required.

**Our top candidate will have 2 years of experience in one of the following roles: Onboarding Specialist, Recruiting Specialist, Staffing Specialist, or Talent Acquisition Specialist.
