Officials

To preside over competitive and recreational athletic or sporting events to help maintain standards of play.&nbsp;<br>Weekdays and Saturdays (times and days vary)<br>Hourly Rate: $12-$26 (softball, volleyball, basketball &amp; soccer)<br><strong>HOURS/WEEK:</strong> 4 - 20<ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Responsible for complete game control of all officiated sports.</li></ol><ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Arrive prepared and on time to all scheduled shifts.</li><li>Maintain an appropriate and professional demeanor at all times.</li><li>Call all contests with complete honesty and integrity.</li><li>Manage players and spectators on the playing field.</li></ol><ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Help patrons learn more about the sport they are participating in.</li></ol><ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Enforce established rules of the game.</li></ol><ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Other duties not assigned.</li></ol><em>Knowledge, Skills and Mental Ability:</em><ul><li>Basic understanding of the sport they are officiating.</li></ul><em>Education, Certification, Experience:</em><ul><li><em>Previous paid experience as an official or played the sport</em></li></ul><em>Equipment Used:</em><ul><li>Sport specific for sports they are officiating</li></ul><em>Physical Demands:</em><ul><li>Ability to have physical movement of all body parts.</li><li>Ability to hear ordinary conversation.</li><li>Ability to talk and communicate appropriately.</li><li>Ability to stand for long periods of time.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate fundamentals.</li></ul><em>Environmental Demands:</em><ul><li>Work indoors and outdoors.</li><li>Work alone.</li><li>Be able to follow oral and written instructions.</li><li>Ability to effectively deal with angry participants.</li><li>Talk, listen, and give instruction to parents and participants.</li></ul>An attempt will be made to reasonably accommodate an otherwise qualified individual who is protected under the American with Disabilities Act.<br><br>Campbell County is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.&nbsp;
