Job description

An international non-governmental organization currently implementing a program to improve the participation of key Nigerian stakeholders in electoral and political processes is looking for Nigerian citizens to fill positions within its offices in Abuja, Nigeria. These stakeholders include: political parties, election authorities, media and underrepresented groups such as women, youth and persons with disabilities. The specific objectives of its program are to strengthen capacity of domestic observers and party agents to monitor and state process. Enhance the democratic role and use of new and traditional media in the political process.

 

The OM reports to the country director.

Responsibilities:

Assist the country director with the management of all day-to-day operations, such as ensuring all required office supplies and equipment are in a stock.

Ensure organization meets all reporting requirements of the government, including the federal Inland Revenue service. Ministry of finance and ministry of labour.

Maintain an up to date inventory in line with the organization’s policies.

Manage calendars, meetings and special events. In consultation with program staff. Prepare quarterly office calendar of activities, major actions/events .

Organize meetings, workshops and other events internal meetings, monthly meetings, with external stakeholders, implementation partners, and other donors.

Maintain a staff leave and travel calendar.

Coordinate procumbent and ensure that donor and the organizations procurement guidelines are followed at all times. etc












At least 5 years of experience in a similar positions preferably a with international organization or project.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Good command of English, both spoken and written.

Familiarity with international travel arrangements.

Ability and readiness to work under pressure.

Demonstrate integrity and transparency. Etc.
