Job description

Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join its client’s team based in Gloucester. This is a part-time role (3 days per week) with hybrid working arrangements, including onsite visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with a range of needs, including complex disabilities
  • Provide occupationally focused assessments, reports, and interventions
  • Act as an expert advisor and practitioner in Children’s OT, offering second opinions when OT provision in EHCPs is contested
  • Lead OT input for SEND appeals and tribunal legal processes
  • Work closely with the EHCP Team and other stakeholders, contributing to appeals as an expert witness

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Significant experience working with children with SEND
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports for EHCPs
  • Strong understanding of legal duties and the SEND Code of Practice
  • Experience in social services and paediatric settings
