Position Summary

Dublin Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehabilitation team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will implement individualized treatment plans and assist residents in improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

  • Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and functional activities.

  • Monitor, document, and report patient progress accurately and promptly.

  • Educate residents and family members on adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and assistive equipment.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive therapy environment.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, including Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Nursing, and Social Services, to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the State of Ohio.

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

  • Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), or rehabilitation setting preferred.

  • Strong documentation, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
