Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat residents within 24 hours of physician referral

• Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approval

• Provide direct therapy services based on individualized care plans

• Supervise and mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)

• Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and team meetings

• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulations

• Educate caregivers and staff on maintenance programs for residents

• Assist with ordering and recommending adaptive equipment

• Support discharge planning and help residents achieve maximum independence

Requirements:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of California (in good standing)

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred

• Skilled in computer documentation systems (e.g., NetHealth, PointClickCare)

• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills

• Ability to work positively and collaboratively with residents, staff, and families
