Westgate Gardens Care Center is currently hiring a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. We are a premier skilled nursing facility focused on restoring quality of life for our residents through innovative and personalized therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents within 24 hours of physician referral; document any delays clearly.

• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans with physician approval.

• Deliver direct OT services and support patients in regaining independence in daily living.

• Supervise and collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).

• Provide training for staff on therapeutic approaches and restorative care.

• Maintain accurate documentation including evaluations, daily notes, and progress updates.

• Assist with discharge planning, including caregiver education and durable medical equipment recommendations.

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment by maintaining proper equipment and practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.

• Active OT license in the State of California (in good standing).

• Experience with documentation systems such as Casamba or PointClickCare preferred.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage physical demands including lifting and supporting residents.
