Job description
As an Occupational Therapist with The Menta Education Group, you will work with students to help them improve and develop the skills needed for day to day life and work, according to the students’ IEP’s.

8:00am-3:30pm CT, Monday-Friday, following a school calendar
Direct Hire with our school: Return school year after school year (no annual contract)
Responsibilities
- Provide educational direction and support for students at times of confusion, frustration & emotional upset.
- Develop and update IEP goals and progress reports for student caseload.
- Provide Occupational Therapy related service minutes as dictated on the IEP.
- Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly.
- Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed or IEP directed.
Qualifications
- Current State Occupational Therapy License
- Registration with National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Ability to work with students with ED/BD/OHI/Autism/TBI/OHI

About Menta Academy Midway
Menta Academy Midway promotes independence in students by creating a learning environment that fosters individualization and planning. The program provides support for English and non-English speaking children with disabilities by focusing on the whole child in their native language. Collaborative and data-based problem-solving approaches are utilized to develop appropriate interventions and progress monitoring.
The classrooms integrate evidence-based strategies from the Structured Teaching Model developed by Division TEACCH, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Physical structure, visual schedules, work systems, communication systems, and sensory supports are thoughtfully integrated to optimize student success.
Midway serves students in grades K-12 and those transitioning from school to life ages 18-21. Disabilities served include autism, emotional disabilities, specific learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, other health impairments, traumatic brain injury, and multiple disabilities.
