Occupational Therapist

Job description

If you're looking for a role where you'll have genuine input into the type of clients you work with, this could be a great opportunity.

A well-established private practice in Reid, ACT is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join its friendly and experienced team. Whether your interest is in paediatrics, adults, or a combination of both, the clinic is happy to tailor your caseload to suit your experience and professional interests.

Rather than expecting you to fit into an existing gap, the team takes the time to build a role that works for both you and the practice.

The role

You'll manage a varied caseload with the flexibility to focus on paediatric clients, adult clients, or a mix of both. Referrals are consistent, allowing you to gradually build a caseload that aligns with your clinical strengths and long-term goals.

Your week may include a combination of clinic appointments and community visits, with flexibility to organise your schedule in a way that works for you. Dedicated time is set aside for documentation, planning, and collaborating with colleagues, while a supportive administration team helps with the day-to-day tasks so you can focus on your clients.

About the practice

This is a well-established private practice with an excellent reputation in the local community and a steady stream of referrals throughout the year. You'll be joining an experienced and supportive team that values collaboration, open communication, and providing high-quality care.

The practice also places a strong emphasis on maintaining manageable caseloads and creating a positive working environment where clinicians feel supported for the long term.

What's on offer

  • Competitive salary with a transparent incentive structure
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available
  • Dedicated administrative support
  • Professional development allowance and ongoing mentoring
  • Opportunities to further develop your clinical interests
  • Stable practice with consistent client demand

About you

  • AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist (or eligible for registration)
  • Interested in working with paediatric clients, adult clients, or both
  • Confident managing your own caseload while working as part of a supportive team
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, client-centred care

Why Reid?

Located just minutes from Canberra's city centre, Reid offers the convenience of an inner-city location while maintaining a quieter, leafy atmosphere. With beautiful parks, heritage streets, local cafés, and easy access to everything Canberra has to offer, it's a great place to build both your career and your lifestyle.

If you're looking for a supportive team, flexibility in the way you practise, and the opportunity to shape a caseload that suits your interests, we'd love to hear from you.
