Job Description Summary

The Occupational Safety & Health Specialist supports day‑to‑day occupational safety and health (OSH) activities to ensure regulatory compliance and effective implementation of GE Vernova EHS programs for business operations. This entry‑level role focuses on administrative support, documentation, tracking, reporting, and operational EHS execution. The position is suitable for early‑career professionals holding a Taiwan Category B OSH Supervisor certification (職業安全衛生管理員(乙級) and offers growth opportunities within GE Vernova’s EHS organization. It is a 24 months fixed term employment.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support occupational safety and health activities to ensure compliance with Taiwan OSH regulations including but not limiting to implementation and maintenance of OSH Management System aligned with CNS 45001 / ISO45001 and GE Vernova standard; OSH policies, procedures, plans and documentation.

  • Support OSH committee activities, statutory OSH programs, worker health promotion, and legally required OSH plans, regulatory self inspections, audits, reporting, and preparation for labour authority visits.

  • Support OSH education and training programs, including new employee orientation

  • Deliver mandatory regulatory safety training (6‑hour training) in Chinese and English

  • Maintain training records, certifications, and compliance tracking

  • Support office emergency preparedness activities, drills, and fire safety inspections

  • Support implementation of GE Vernova EHS programs, including Life‑Saving Rules (LSR), audits, inspections, EHS performance tracking and data reporting

  • Assist with collection and reporting of manhours, injury rates, and safety performance indicators

  • Maintain Taiwan EHS Hub content and EHS documentation

  • Track EHS events, concern reports, and corrective actions; follow up with sites for closure

  • Provide administrative and system support to operational activities

  • Participate in site visits and inspections as assigned

  • Support incident documentation and lessons learned communication

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (MUST)

  • Valid license Occupational Safety and Health Management Personnel Level B (職業安全衛生管理員-乙級) issued by local authority

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; fresh graduates encouraged to apply

  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken)

  • Good administrative, coordination, and documentation skills

  • Comfortable with system‑based and compliance‑focused work

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to learn internal EHS systems and reporting tools

  • To be based at Taipei office and travel to project sites as and when required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn CNS 45001 / ISO 45001

  • Familiarity with Taiwan OSH regulations and reporting requirements

  • Administrative or HR‑related background or experience

  • Interest in developing as an internal EHS trainer

  • Experience with data tracking or documentation (preferred, not required)
