Job description

Position Overview

We are looking for an Observability Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will implement and manage observability tools and practices to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of complex applications and infrastructure. The role goes beyond traditional monitoring, focusing on creating end-to-end visibility into systems and leveraging telemetry data to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, implement, and assist customers in operating observability and AIOps tools for various projects
  • Lead technical pre-sales efforts, including attending meetings, designing, documenting, and presenting solutions tailored to client needs
  • Run Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements with clients, demonstrating value and practicality of observability solutions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete projects that meet client deadlines and expectations
  • Stay ahead of the curve by researching and testing new software technologies in a lab environment
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ITOM, CMDB, and Automation technologies, specifically in health and performance monitoring for infrastructure, databases, and applications

Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Solid experience in one or more of the following areas: Systems (on-premises and/or Cloud), Databases, Applications.
  • Experience or strong interest in tools such as OpenText OpsBridge, uCMDB, Dynatrace, VMware vRealize Operations (vROps), Zabbix, ManageEngine, Microsoft Operations Manager (SCOM), IBM, BMC, etc
  • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining IT infrastructure
  • Engineering skills in Unix/Linux and/or Windows environments
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence-driven automation and anomaly detection technologies is highly desirable
  • Fluency in Greek and English
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to take initiative
