Job description

A state-of-the-art healthcare facility that is located in a county of Maryland that services a population of more than 233,000 is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant:

Practice is based in the hospital and provides pain management services to their own patients as well as patients in the hospital, especially in the oncology/ hospice department. Wants minimum of 1 year of exp in any type of pain management, Maryland licensed and DEA to prescribe controlled substance.  This is a full time 40 hr/week position with rotating on call but the call usually just involves taking phone calls at home from nurses consulting about patients medications.

Requirements

Certification of completion from an approved program for Family, Adult, or Adult-Gero nurse practitioners.  Licensure by the MBON.  Complex problem solving skills.  Critical thinking with judgement and decision-making skills.  Excellent collaborative skills with physicians, ancillary medical staff, and others in clinical setting.  Performs patient consultations for Palliative Care Service as directed by physician.  Follows up on patient consults as directed by physician.  Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills.  Excellent organization and time management skills.
