Job description

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all incoming calls in a call center environment by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and services, as well as, communicating effectively with team members.

  • Handle incoming calls regarding inquiries about status of claims for GAP, Excess Wear, Paint & Interior and ETCH.
  • Record phone interaction by documenting detail notes and comments into the SCS system
  • Provide accurate claim information to dealers, agents, lienholders and customers
  • Enter concise claim notes into the SCS system
  • Split PDF files into individual documents and attach them in the appropriate section located within the claim
  • Determine if all required claim documents are accurate and legible to properly adjudicate the claim
  • Initiate automated claim payment letters, and follow-up letters to customers and lenders
  • Create claim denial letters
  • Communicate with dealers, lienholders, and customers on claim payment issues using system generated letters
  • Process GAP settlement breakdowns received from insurance carriers
  • Process Open Claim reports to verify status of claims
  • Perform other duties as assigned
