The Role and Responsibilities

EnerMech is gearing up for major shutdown campaigns across the country from August - end of November 2026.

We are inviting expressions of interest from experienced and safety-driven Nitrogen Technicians to join our high-performing teams on upcoming projects. Regardless of your location we support point of hires from all major cities.

Take on new challenges and put your skills to the test on diverse projects for leading oil and gas clients across Australia.

  • Set up, operate, and monitor equipment for liquid nitrogen supply to support project operations.
  • Safely handle cryogenic fluids, including liquid nitrogen (LN2), and operate LN2 vaporizers and pumps.
  • Experience operating equipment for nitrogen / membrane units, gas separation technologies, and high‑volume nitrogen services.
  • Conduct routine checks, maintenance, and monitoring to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams to support continuous improvement and plant reliability.
  • Uphold EnerMech’s strong commitment to safety, integrity, and operational excellence in every task.

The Requirements

  • 3–5 years' operating high-volume nitrogen membrane units.
  • Familiarity with compressors, dryers and nitrogen membranes.
  • Previous LNG facility or shutdown campaign experience (essential).
  • Understanding of P&IDs, flow diagrams, and control systems.
  • White Card
  • Industry Safety Induction (desirable)
  • Working at Heights, Confined Space dated within 2 years (desirable)
  • Gast Test Atmosphere dated within 2 years (desirable)
  • Ability to pass Safer Together Medical
  • BOSIET - Offshore works mandatory
  • Australian working rights
