SO/ Auckland is located in the heart of Auckland's CBD. With views of the Waitematā Harbour and city, across 16 floors and 130 design-led rooms.

We are currently look for a Permanent Full-Time (40 Hours per Week) Night Auditor/Receptionist who is hands on and has a keen eye for detail to help us deliver the best Guest Experience! This is a dual role that works across a 7-day rotating roster including day and night shifts.

The Role
 

  • This role is required to work overnights, and also includes day shifts - This is a dual role that works across a 7-day rotating roster including day and night shifts.
  • Check in and Check out guests and maintain accounts ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis
  • Open communication channels between Hotel guests and all Hotel departments
  • Positively respond to all queries (both internal and external), redirect to departments as required
  • Assist with car / hotel doors and guest luggage and ensure timely delivery of guest car/luggage
  • Ensure the appearance of the guest services desk, hotel lobby and forecourt is immaculately presented at all times
  • Assist with guest reservations and ensure guest requests are actioned and documented
  • Assisting late guest arrivals and early departures ensuring that room allocations and check in check out processes follow set procedures and are customer focused
  • Knowledge in Opera Cloud PMS and balancing procedures. Run reports and draw up statistical information as required by finance policies and procedures
  • Compile Night Audit day pack reports and documents in accordance with PCI Compliance, distributing to specific departments in a timely manner as required
  • Complete computer system backups and save in accordance with finance policies and procedures
  • Assist night services including room service, OTS, car parking and porter services, ensuring guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible

About You

  • 2+ years previous experience in a luxury/lifestyle hotel environment 
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Full driver’s licence is essential, as you will be responsible for receiving and parking guest vehicles between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am
  • Knowledge about the local area highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of OPERA Cloud highly advantageous
  • Flexibility to work rotating roster and work weekends and/or public holidays
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a night shift capacity
  • Prior reservations experience is advantageous, as hospitality operates 24 hours a day
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage emergency situations effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and front office systems
  • An LCQ certificate or the willingness to obtain one, along with a manager's certificate, will be required.
