NICET II Fire Alarm Field Engineer-Remote

Wachter is growing, and we are looking for experienced NICET II -certified Fire Alarm Field Engineers to support one of the largest national retail programs in the country. You must have the NICET 2 certification to be considered for this position.

This is not your typical inspection role. You’ll be a trusted technical expert in the field—validating installations, troubleshooting complex systems, ensuring quality standards, and partnering with teams to deliver reliable life safety solutions across high-profile customer environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 
Perform field inspections, system validation, and quality reviews of fire alarm installations
Troubleshoot and support EST / EST4 fire alarm systems
Partner with project teams, technicians, customers, and contractors to resolve technical challenges
Ensure installations meet customer expectations, code requirements, and Wachter quality standards
Provide technical guidance and recommendations for continuous improvement
Travel within an assigned region supporting national account locations

QUALIFICATIONS:

NICET Fire Alarm II Certification A MUST!
Hands-on fire alarm installation, service, commissioning, or inspection experience
Strong knowledge of EST / EST4 systems (preferred)
Ability to diagnose issues and provide solutions in the field
Excellent communication skills with customers and internal teams
Self-driven professional who enjoys ownership and problem-solving
Ability to travel regionally as needed
Must be able to travel 4-5 days a week.
