Neurocritical Care Overnight APP

Job Summary

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our Neurocritical Care team in an overnight role with a 7-on/7-off schedule, offering continuity of care within a highly collaborative ICU environment. In this position, the APP will work closely with neurointensivists and interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients with complex neurological conditions, including stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, and post-operative neurosurgical cases. Responsibilities include performing admissions and consultations, managing daily patient care, conducting neurological assessments, interpreting diagnostic results, and developing treatment plans to support optimal outcomes. The APP will also participate in rapid response situations and critical care emergencies as needed. Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:    

• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program OR certification from an accredited NP program OR completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Ability to meet and maintain credentialing requirements and hospital priviledges.
• Knowledge and competency in a wide range of clinical areas. 
• Familiar with EHR/EMR software.   

Licensure/Certification Requirements

REQUIRED:    

• Current NYS Nurse Practitioner licenses OR Current NYS license as a Physician Assistant with prescription privileges.
• Current BCLS, ACLS certifications.

PREFERRED:

• Active ANCC certification in relevant specialty
