Network Support Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Network Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and optimal performance. You will work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and end-users to provide comprehensive network support and deliver successful projects.

Functional Duties

• Design, implement, and maintain the network infrastructure for the company, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

• Manage and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to protect our network from unauthorized access and potential threats.

• Provide 2nd and 3rd-tier support to end-users for network infrastructure-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems promptly and efficiently.

• Collaborate and coordinate with server, desktop, and other ICT teams, as well as vendors, in various projects to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure components.

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning network equipment, including switches, routers, and wireless access points, to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted network services.

• Monitor network performance and security, utilizing diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools to proactively identify and resolve issues, optimize performance, and implement necessary improvements.

• Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations for new network solutions and technologies to enhance network and security performance, providing recommendations for implementation.

• Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation.

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in network administration, architecture, and security to continuously improve our network infrastructure.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Science or related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in Infra Network/ ICT Network Engineer or any Related

• Expertise in computer technical support skills

• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools

• Solid understanding of network operating systems

• Solid background in network administration and architecture

• Good command of English communication both written and spoken.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive departmental issues with discretion.
  Strong aptitude for working with computers and staying updated with emerging technologies.

• Good interpersonal skills with a strong team player mindset and a service-oriented approach.
