We are looking for a versatile Software Engineer with strong expertise in C#/.NET development, SQL database programming, automation scripting, and Office automation. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of business applications, data processing solutions, workflow automation tools, and reporting systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions that support business operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Application Development (C#/.NET): Implement new features, bug fixes, and unit tests in C# (e.g., ASP.NET Core, Windows services, console apps).
- Database & Data Work (SQL): Write and optimize SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures. Support data migration, ETL tasks, and performance tuning.
- Automation & Scripting (PowerShell): Build scripts to automate deployments, scheduled jobs, file processing, and environment checks. Create tooling for developer productivity and system administration tasks.
- Office Automation (VBA): Maintain and enhance Excel/Access macros and add‑ins to streamline business workflows. Improve data validation, reporting templates, and user forms.
- Quality & Process: Participate in code reviews, follow coding standards, and write unit/integration tests. Contribute to documentation: technical specs, runbooks, and user guides. Assist with incident triage, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team to clarify requirements. Demo features, gather feedback, and iterate quickly.
Job Requirements:
- Programming: Solid knowledge of C# and the .NET ecosystem (LINQ, async/await, dependency injection). Ability to write clean, maintainable code with basic design principles (SOLID).
- Minimum 3-year experience in .NET programming
- Databases: Proficiency in SQL (joins, indexing, query optimization). Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar RDBMS.
- Scripting & Automation: Practical experience with PowerShell for task automation, CLI tooling, and system operations.
- Office Automation: Hands‑on VBA for Excel (macros, user forms, data import/export).
- Software Engineering Fundamentals: Version control with Git; basic branching and pull requests. Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit) and CI/CD concepts. Strong problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and RESTful API design.
- Knowledge of Excel data models, Power Query, or Power BI for reporting.
- Familiarity with Windows administration tasks relevant to automation.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and basic application security.
