Job Title: Senior MS SQL Database Engineer (Individual Contributor)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a technically strong MS SQL Database Engineer with 8–12 years of hands-on experience. This individual contributor role demands deep expertise in MS SQL Server, T-SQL, performance tuning, and advanced troubleshooting. You’ll work independently to optimize critical database systems and ensure high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Optimize complex T-SQL queries and database performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve database issues (blocking, deadlocks, IO bottlenecks).

Analyze execution plans and implement indexing/partitioning strategies.

Maintain high availability (Always On, clustering, replication).

Monitor and improve database health and automation.

Collaborate with development teams for schema and query design.

Required Skills:

8–12 years with MS SQL Server and T-SQL.

Strong in performance tuning, query optimization, and internals.

Skilled in using SQL Profiler, DMVs, and Extended Events.

Experience with HA/DR setups and large-scale data environments.

Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

SSIS/SSRS, cloud SQL (Azure/AWS RDS), scripting (PowerShell), CI/CD exposure
