Position Purpose:

This position is directly accountable for creating a competitive advantage through the management of a supply base that provides quality products/services that meet or exceed specifications, world class service (on-time delivery, shortest possible lead-times, responsiveness), innovation and the lowest total cost. This position has a significant impact on facility grow up working closely with engineering, maintenance, HR, IT, production, Supply chain departments. This position supply all the services, MRO material, abrasives related to the facility to keep running the business properly according to the needs.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure reliable, effective, and efficient supply chains through cross-functional sourcing and supply management efforts for materials and services.
  2. Manage existing commercial agreements that address all business needs (capacity, quality, delivery, lead-time, cost, etc).
    1. Manage the service / Scope / expectation with Supplier in house needed.
  3. Develop and manage relationships with suppliers / extend the Supplier Portfolio according to the facility growth.
  4. Monitor and manage supplier performance including reduction of total cost of ownership.
    1. Manage the annual contract with suppliers to increase benefit / reduce cost.
  5. Drive continuous improvement in the areas of cost, quality, service and innovation as per internal customer needs.
    1. Work with other functional areas (e.g. Engineering, Process Development, Manufacturing, etc.) to develop and implement saving tactics that support the achievement of this objective.
    2. Define the requirements for supplier development.

Education / Experience

  • Business administration, engineering Degree
  • Purchasing in manufacturing environment
  • Negotiating skills
