The Light Duty Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light-duty vehicles, including cars, vans, and small trucks. This role ensures vehicles operate safely and efficiently, providing high-quality service while adhering to company standards and safety regulations. Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering systems, and electrical components.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify safety or performance issues.
- Maintain accurate service records for all work performed.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Be a Safety Leader! Ensure the resources and commitment to HSE is of top priority for all employees within the company.
- Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
- Maintain compliance with required HSE Training.
- Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
- Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
- Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives.
- Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
- Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
- Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment accurately.
- Strong communication skills to explain vehicle issues and recommended services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to complete maintenance logs, digital entries, and inspection checklists accurately.
- Work effectively with technicians, operators, and supervisors in a shop environment.
- Proficiency with maintenance software and basic MS Office tools.
- Detailed orientated.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors. This position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.
