Overview:

Software Engineer with a focus on software development and AI integration. You’ll work alongside developers and AI engineers to build and ship features across Mitel products, integrating LLMs and agentic AI systems into enterprise communication software. This is an opportunity for engineers interested in software development and applied artificial intelligence to make a real impact.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain production software services and APIs
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into enterprise software, including LLM-based features and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
• Build agentic AI systems at a high level, designing tool-calling workflows, orchestrating multi-step autonomous tasks, and connecting models to internal services and data sources
• Work with model APIs, prompt engineering, and evaluation of AI outputs
• Contribute to code through pair programming and code reviews
• Write automated tests (unit, integration) and technical documentation
• Collaborate using version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in team discussions, architecture decisions, and contribute ideas

Requirements:

• Degree or Studying in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Fluent English (written and verbal)
• Solid foundation in:
  - Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, complexity)
  - Software development practices (version control, testing, code review)
  - AI/ML concepts (model training/inference, prompting, evaluation)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript advisable)
• Understanding of REST APIs and working with third-party services
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills

Additional Skills (Advantageous):

• Experience with Python for AI/ML applications (e.g., Py Torch, Hugging Face, Lang Chain, or similar frameworks)
• Knowledge of Node.js with TypeScript/JavaScript
• ​Experience building or working with agentic AI systems (tool use, function calling, multi-agent orchestration)
• Familiarity with LLM integration, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker)
• Familiarity with NLP (Natural Language Processing) and ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition)
• Understanding of transformers and modern AI architectures
• Knowledge of web app development (front-end and back-end)
• Experience with databases (SQL and/or vector databases)
• Personal or professional projects involving AI/ML
