- Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Prepare, align, and fit metal components prior to welding.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting tools, and other fabrication machinery safely.
- Carry out basic fabrication tasks, including measuring, marking, cutting, and assembling metal components.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
- Identify and report defects or quality issues.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Requirements
Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication environment.
Proficient in MIG welding techniques with the ability to produce high-quality welds.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
Experience using measuring equipment and fabrication tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks.
Relevant welding certification is an advantage.
