About Miele

What does it take for a family-run company to become world market leader in the premium domestic appliance segment? It takes more than offering average products, run-of-the-mill service or short-sighted actions. It also requires the aspiration to do it forever better and to be forever better. This stance accounts for a good working environment at Miele and the success of our products. Our colleagues can rest assured that those who live up to our standards of quality and professionalism grow personally and professionally. No matter if they are apprentices or managers.

Make our claim your challenge - whether in Gütersloh, Melbourne or Singapore! Become one of more than 23,000 Miele employees in 50 countries around the world who are committed to making our products even better every day - and help us to expand our innovation leadership.

About Your Workplace

Join Miele's Field Sales team and help grow one of the world's most recognised premium appliance brands. Based in Hawthorn and managing a designated territory, you'll work closely with our valued Miele Chartered Agents (MCAs) to strengthen relationships, increase sales and build confidence in the Miele brand.

As an Account Specialist, you'll spend your time in the field partnering with retailers, delivering engaging product training, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring our premium customer experience is consistently represented across your territory. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing outcomes and making a tangible impact on business performance.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build strong partnerships with Miele Chartered Agents, developing customer plans that drive sales growth and strengthen brand advocacy

  • Deliver engaging in-store product training and education sessions to improve product knowledge and sales capability

  • Manage your territory to achieve sales targets, increase market share and maximise return on investment

  • Identify new business opportunities by analysing market trends, customer insights and competitor activity

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations teams to deliver customer initiatives and promotional campaigns

  • Maintain accurate reporting, customer meeting plans and retailer activity to support informed business decisions

  • Represent the Miele brand professionally at customer meetings, product launches and sales events

What We Are Looking For

Must-have:

  • Proven success in account management, field sales or business development

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and influence commercial outcomes

  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills

  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a territory independently

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience within premium retail, consumer goods, whitegoods or appliance industries

  • Experience delivering product training or coaching retail teams

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment

  • Business, Commerce or Technical qualification

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems

Our Benefits

  • Hybrid working that blends flexibility and connection: 2 WFH days, 2 flexible office days + Wednesday team connection day

  • Quarterly Life Leave – one paid day each quarter to recharge

  • Personal development and career opportunities

  • Employee discounts

  • Access to a wide range of wellbeing programs, including annual flu vaccinations, employee assistance program and holistic support
