Job Description
Stratton Studios is looking for a Mid-Level 3D Generalist Artist to take ownership of asset development pipelines, contributing production-ready props, environments, and characters. You’ll work across projects with a focus on visual polish, platform performance, and pipeline efficiency.
Requirements
- Create high-quality 3D assets including environments, props, and characters that align with project goals and styles.
- Adapt assets to integrate into client-specific pipelines and gameplay systems.
- Optimize models and textures for mobile, console, and PC without sacrificing visual quality.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with shading, lighting, and mesh integration.
- Work cross-functionally with design, tech art, and external teams to implement and refine content.
- Receive and respond to feedback efficiently, iterating assets as needed.
- Maintain project documentation and support art team knowledge sharing.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience creating 3D game assets in production settings.
- Proficiency with tools such as Blender, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
- Understanding of optimization strategies for real-time performance.
- Ability to match various art styles and meet technical constraints.
- Experience collaborating with external teams or clients on shared asset pipelines.
Bonus Skills (Preferred):
- Familiarity with shader authoring and technical art principles.
- Experience in utilizing Unity and/or Unreal engines to test out assets.
- Experience in rigging, simple animations, or VFX.
- VR/AR development pipeline awareness.
- Knowledge of Git, Perforce, or similar version control systems.
